Perfect World wasn’t kidding when it said earlier this week that it was prepping a kitchen sink patch for its new Neverwinter MMO. The title, now slated to shed its open beta tag for a proper launch date on June 20th, has just received a mammoth balance and gameplay post on its official website.
The post touches on everything from classes and the queue system to PvP, the auction house, the gateway, and game performance. Grab yourself a cup of your favorite caffeinated beverage and click through the link below to start reading.
I really want to like the game and I’ve put some significant time (but no actual cash into it). I recently read that it was originally a multiplayer game that was converted to an MMO. Not entirely sure about the veracity of that statement but suddenly a great many things about the game start to make more sense, the extensive-instancing and lack of an “open world” being foremost. So I’m not sure how long I’ll still play it but I’d say the potential of the Foundry interests me more than anything. Someone’s gonna try to convert Keep on the Borderlands, and I’ll have to take a look see at that point…
